It’s the most wonderful time of the year. It’s time to finish strong.
The journey never ends but the stages do. We’re into the final stages of 2014. No matter what kind of year you’ve had, you can make it great by how you finish it.
As JRR Tolkien said, it’s the job that’s never started that takes longest to finish. So start your final play of the year now.
There are only two kinds of people in the world – those who finish what they start and so on. What kind are you? Whatever you believe, it can all change right here, right now. The next few weeks are the only ones that count. I don’t care about where you’re coming from. I only care about where you’re going.
The deadline is the finish line. And the finish line is your friend. It focuses and clarifies you. You can see it directly in front of you. It’s so close you can feel it. There are just a few short days between you and your best year-end ever. Or, you just can creep through the end of the year and regret the things that could have been, might have been, should have been.
It all comes down to now. This is your personal postseason. You will be judged by what you finish, not by what you started. I know you may have been beaten down by a brutal year. It’s been exhausting, confusing and heartbreaking. But it has also been thrilling, fulfilling and exciting. According to our research, Over 80% of the population is just cruising to Christmas. They just want to get over the year. They want to take shelter from the storm until the next one breaks.
But that’s not you, right? You know this is your time to shine. When others back off, you back yourself. Other’s distraction gives you traction. You’re finding another gear. You’re drawing on all your reserves. You’re leaving nothing unused in 2014 because the last thing you want is to finish the year wishing you could have done more.
Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Waiting is just quitting in advance. If you don’t take action, you can’t fail. But you also can’t win. You live in purgatory. So don’t be a waitor, be a creator. Create your perfect moment now.
I’m doing it with this video. By inspiring you I am empowering me. I’m committing myself to finishing like a champion. Before the end of the year, I will create a fabulous new program on personal rejuvenation with colleagues in Lausanne, Switzerland and Detroit, Michcigan, I will win ten engagements worth $150000 and I will enable 1000 people to finish strong in 2014 – that’s how many people I will talk to directly between now and December 18. Those are my finish lines. What are yours? That’s the great thing about being an actor – you can determine your own finish line. It’s the one that is way beyond what others set for you.
So here are Lipkin’s five ways to finish strong in 2014:
- Define and raise your BAR – Big Achievable Result. You cannot throw your mind over what you cannot see. See it. Believe it. Do it.
- Turn on your excitement. Feel the joy of achieving your BAR in advance. Know that it’s only a few weeks of intense application. Then you can bask in the love and peace of home, family and friends between Christmas and new year.
- Make a public commitment to achieving your BAR. Begin by making it to me – call me on 4169176007. I’m serious. I want to do whatever it takes to make it happen for you.
- Write down the three things you must do to achieve your BAR. Do them like the quality of your life depends on it because it does.
- Help others across the finish line. Reach out and raise their BAR. Generosity pays big dividends.
This is Mike Lipkin and I wish you a fabulous finish to 2014!
Thanks Mike Lipkin for this video again. I will do my best to achieve my BAR before the end of the year.
Mike, still following you since South Africa ! I am looking at a new exciting opportunity in the multi unit operations field in the hospitality industry before the end of 2014 ; how’s that for a BAR ?
